Looking for a Rare Book?
If you're ever in Eumundi in the hinterland of Noosa on Queensland's beautiful Sunshine Coast, I recommend that you visit one of my favourite bookshops, Berkelouw Books. I love it because it reminds me of an old fashioned library with stacks to the ceiling full of second-hand and antique books. They also sell new books and there is a café. Their website states that they are the oldest bookseller in Australia. So if you're chasing a rare, out-of-print title they may be able to help.

Quote of the day
“As a child, my number one best friend was the librarian in my grade school. I actually believed all those books belonged to her.” - Erma Bombeck.
I think this quote is very cute and reminds me of the innocence of children. Erma Bombeck is an American humorist from Dayton, Ohio.

Hello, my name is Sharon Manteit and this is my first post in my new blog for "Integrate Social Web Technologies - Social Media 2" at Victoria University. This is also my first ever blog. I'm looking forward to learning about the different social media platforms and how they are used by libraries to connect with their customers. I currently follow my local library, Toowoomba City Library, on Facebook and the British Library on Twitter.
