Cobb & Co Museum, Toowoomba

When I've spare time and wish to relax I love to visit the Cobb & Co Museum. As well as being home to the national carriage collection, the museum maintains extensive displays on the natural and cultural history of Toowoomba and the Darling Downs.

The carriage collection is fascinating. There are 47 vehicles on display including, wagons, carts and drays, buggies, sulkies and gigs, Cobb & Co. Coaches, omnibuses and carriages.

I particularly like the interactive displays and the handmade gifts in the museum shop. The museum also offers school learning programmes which have been developed to align with the national curriculum. When you've finished browsing the displays, the Cobb Coffee Shop offers a very relaxing dining experience. Their specialty: fresh scones with local blueberry jam and cream.

For further information, visit the Cobb & Co. Museum website.
